| Does anyone know of a product or technique that removes waterspots from your depthfinder and GPS screens? I have used hot water and soap, Windex, etc... but I can still see the spots. Maybe that is the best I can do?

| I dip the end of my shirt in the lake and wipe it off.
Works for me, no more spots. |

| Does the sun affect it at all? You obviously cannot stop water from getting on the screen i.e rain, water from your lure etc..., but can the sun "bake" the water spot onto the screen?
It seems that no matter how much I scrub the screen I can still see the out edge of the water spots.

| Try a mixture of 50% alcohol, 50% H2O. No-fog spray works good too. Do not use anything with ammonia in it. |

| Mix up some vinegar and water and use that in a spray bottle.
1/4 cup vinegar to a quart of water. Be sure to use a soft cotton cloth or one of those special eyeglass rags to wipe it down with. Even paper towels will scratch the no glare coating on the screen and over time it will look like #*#*.
That mixture also works great for removing water spots/algae/green slime/water deposits and those brown spots from stained water on your boat as well. Spray it on, let is sit a little bit then towel it off. If you use it right at the launch when needed, the stuff just about towels off.

| Vinegar and water has worked for me. The new screen come with a microfiber cloth, and that works great, with just a bit of water. Maybe steal one of the pieces for the arm on the microfiber couch!
Also, do not apply bug repellant while near the screens. The active ingredients will react with the coating on the screen, and you will never get it right after. Polishing compounds will help, but it will never be as good as new.

| If it does not come off after trying these suggestions it is possible that what you have on on your screen is insect repellant and not water spots. If you get any of that stuff on your screen you will not be able to get it off with anything. |

| I have not used bug spray since I have purchased the new rig. It is definitely water spots.
