Posts: 656 Location: Forest Lake, Mn. | Get a new empty spray bottle similar to those used in beauty salons or for misting houseplants, and fill it with a 50-50 mixture of water and Isopropel Alcohol. Spray screen and use a soft cloth to wipe it dry.

Location: The Yahara Chain | I bought some Pledge multi surface, pre-moistened clean & dust wipes. They are safe to use on electronics. I discovered these at work, we use them to clean computers, keyboards and flat screens. They did a great job cleaning up all of my screens on my fishing electronics.

Little expensive but works great. http://store.klearscreen.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=... https://store.klearscreen.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=... You might be able to find these on ebay.

Posts: 2427 Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | I use my nasty hot breath, fog the glass with it, just like I do with my glasses, and then wipe it off with my t-shirt. Works great.

Works great. In other words, you're using fishpoop's method of cleaning. LOL

Posts: 2515 Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | 3M makes a lens cleaner that I've been using for years. It doesn't use solvents or cleaners, just wipe the lens and you're done. Lowrance includes a lens cloth with thier units now, I don't know if you can order it from Lei-Extras or not. Attachments ---------------- cleaner.JPG (30KB - 125 downloads)

| i find sunglass cleaner works well. just strong enough to get tough crud off without damaging the surface. i've got a small cleaning kit (cleaner and cloth wipe) in my boat for my glasses anyway. | |||

Posts: 1294 Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | Before using any of the above wipe methods, be sure to rinse off your screen first. Any dust on the screen will have an abrasive affect and you'll end up with a scratched screen over time. Same goes with glasses.

Posts: 484 Location: St. Louis, MO., Marco Is., FL, Nestor Falls, ON | You can find those wipers at Sam's Club, at least down here you can. They are double thick, unlike the 3M model, and come 25 wipes to the pack for about $12.00. Tom is right...they do a great job. I use them all the time even for my sunglasses. They are great for polishing the car, cleaning glass, etc. and you can just throw them into the washer and dryer when you are done.

Posts: 656 Location: Forest Lake, Mn. | Rpieske: Thanks for the laugh! But if Mike is drinking Isopropol Alcohol instead of grain alcohol he's in deep trouble. That stuff will kill you, litteraly. Good humor though!

Posts: 56 | Brad, Your new locators should have come with a Lowrance Cleaning Cloth. At least they did with mine. Then just spit on your screen and wipe away! They won't look new for too long! Lee Tauchen
