Posts: 1316 Location: Madison, WI | Currently my wife is a contracted employee for a big company in the madison area, and we are hoping for them to bring her on full time. And her boss is new to muskie fishing, but is willing to learn. Whenever I get a new lure, tackle box... She tells him and he starts asking questions. Only thing she's able to do i shrug her shoulders, then a couple weeks ago i sent her a couple pictures of fish from last year. A couple days later he went out and bought a rod/reel, some lures, now he's going up north to green lake for his first muskie experience opening weekend. Told him would I try to find out some information about the lake, i.e structure, lure choice and colors. I know it's asking alot, but any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Scott Edited by Magruter 4/25/2006 10:34 AM

Posts: 827 Location: Minneapolis,Minnesota | I agree...Little Green would be a much better choice for a newbie. Also, Random Lake towards Sheboygan. Lot's of small fish but you can put a few fish in the boat on most days.

It looks like there are quite a few fish kept out of little green, and some nice pike too.

Posts: 1185 Location: Wishin I Was Fishin' | I only fished Big Green once and we caught a 34.5" musky, a 40.5" pike and many 15-18" large mouth....I wouldn't be affaid to go back. I have struggled with Little Green. Go to Big Green and fish Norwegian Bay shallow on opener. Be sure to let me know how you do. Might even see me there???

Posts: 87 | We fished Little Green the last two openers. We got two last year before noon. If he fishes Little Green, he can easily find me on the lake. I have a green and white Stratos fish/ski. I can try and help him out. The Landing is very helpful to anyone that asks questions too. Let me know if he will be out there. Terry

Posts: 1438 | You'd be surprised Mike... Lot's of sites doing that now. Apparently if you post it they believe it's their copyrighted property I guess. Luckily we don't all have to read between the letters "SLAMR" on our pics. Scott Edited by theedz155 4/26/2006 4:53 AM
