Posts: 1939 Location: Black Creek, WI | Yeeeee Haaaawwwwww!!!! That is great news Chuck! MRoberts and I had a BLAST fishing your tourney last year and were hoping to make it a TRADITION. We will definitely be there again in 2006. I absolutely LOVE the format of Chuck's tourney. Not knowing where you will be fishing until the night before is part of the excitement. It also takes away the need to prefish too. Just show up and play with the cards you are dealt. This year there are 4 lakes on the list that I have never fished before.... and many that I've only been on once or twice. I hope we draw one of those! Seriously. Last year we picked a lake I had never fished before and we did well. Heck, I had to ask for directions to the boat landing (heh heh). So don't let that intimidate ya! Use it as an excuse to learn more good musky waters and maybe even add one to your favorites list. See you all in October!

Posts: 2323 Location: Stevens Point, WI | I to would have to agree with the other guys and there comments. Even though I didn't actually fish the tournament, but judge boating with Bob(Ulbian), we had a great time just being up there and on the water. But I really enjoyed Saturday night with all the great people that we had up there! Really made this event worth the time and effort to be a judge boat. Even though it was very tempting to pull out a muskie rod of our own and start fishing but we wouldn't want to show up any of the actual contestants now! LOL You definitely can count Ulbian and I in next year! Edited by Merckid 4/7/2006 1:07 PM

Well.... technicaly my PARTNER won it.... as I was just the net man for both our fish. I'm still a wannabe... that knows how to pick good partners. Last year's tourney was good.... but this years should be even better! The date is one week later to ensure tradional fall patterns are established and hopefully we'll get some better weather (I hate 30 MPH Northwest Winds). jlong
