Does anyone know if the calcutta 400b handle will fit on the original calcutta 400?

not sure, but I recently discovered that an ABU power handle fits perfectly on a 400TE. very nice...

Anyone know if you can fit the TE handle or the new 400b handles with the soft grip rubber on the older cutta 400's with the hard plastic handle? I've tried a few shops but no one sells the handles, may have to give Shimano a ring.

Just spoke with shimano today! YOU CAN put a 400b handle on a original 400...he also told me you can put a calcutta 400bsv handle on a original 400. The 400bsv handle is the same power handle as the 400 te but the driveshaft is a different size that's why the te handle doesn't work,if you want the power handle for the 400 or 400b just order the 400bsv handle that is the salt water version of the 400b. and they will bolt right up.
