| How ya doing Skunk, Big st. still holds alot of hawgs my friend, you said in your post that in the last three years you have had problems conecting with the nicer fish in mid-sept, well just in that time frame turn-over was in full bloom at that time and I don't have to tell you how soupie that body of water gets when she turns, and we all know what a tough nut that is to crack trying to produce a consistent pattern during turn-over, I would suggest that was your biggest obstacle. Hopefully you'll hit it at a better time this year, as far as the new develoment goes, I really don't think thats had any effect on the fishery, the only thing I believe it's done is take away from the natural northwoods atmosphere. As far as where, without getting into to much detail, that deep side of the Island and thoes series of rock bars are great choices at that time and don't count out the deeper water of that big weed bar on the east end. Typicle fall baits will work and that lake produces big fish on bucktails into Nov (use BIG fluted blades) and always quick-strike or circle hook a sucker off the side. Hope this helps
