| Need to know soon...gotta order, can't stand it any more! Hope to spend 150.00 or so....ideas needed![:sun:] | |||

| Shimano Curado would be my choice for a low profile reel Sponge. They offer both the high speed model 6 to 1 or so plus a 5.3 to 1 I believe. Check it out, about $120.00 I think. Let Em Go...Let Em Grow.....Mike www.ihavenevertriedtobasscospam.com[:devil:] [:devil:] | |||

| I have a couple Curado's and they are pretty good, No complaints as of so far. | |||

| I hear alot of folks talking about the curado and musky fishing. The shimano bantam and quantam trophy are two more. Quantam makes another low profile metal reel that they used to make in wide spool that may work well too. | |||

| I have a curado I used for several years when fishing for bass, but I never thought of using it for muskie. It is a great reel, but will it stand up to the constant torture and to a 50 incher? | |||

| Ha! Another vote for the Curado, I have 2. $120 and worth every penny. | |||

| Sponge- Low profile- My vote is for the Curado also- I have two CU200's that are + six years old. I love them for casting. They can handle big Muskies and the drags are smoooooooth! Great value! + with variable brake system, very low backlash when properly set up for the bait - takes about 30 seconds. The Shimano Calais looks like a hottie in skin tight see-through leotard's, but I don't know if it's worth the added cash (+$300)to move up. Al Warner www.seespongebobphotocontestonMF.com | |||

| Spongie, Go get yourself a Curado. I have 3 of them and I'm planning on a couple more this year. Spool it up with 50 or 65 lb. PowerPro and you're in business. Shimano just came out with a new Curado with a 3.8-1 retrieve ratio if you're looking for a model with lots of torque. When I'm out fishing, the Curado gets grabbed first, very smooth, durable and comfortable to fish with. Steve @ G & S Guide Service and Custom Rods. http://www.herefishyfishy.com | |||

| Thanks fellows..Curado it is![:sun:] | |||

| I have never used a Curado, but have used a Abu Garcia 6600 Tournament Pro for the last couple of years and it has worked well... It is a low profile shape like the Morrum... Good Luck, John B | |||

| Sponge, Ditto on the Curado. You will like it. Great reel. I have the 6.2/1 and really like it. | |||
