Got a couple of Rattle Traps, Gander Mtn. only had 1/2 and 1 1/2 oz, not the recommended size for Cave, but will stick with these. My question is about the hooks and rings, are you people beefing these up for muskie or throwing them with what they have? Looking at them I am temped to at least change the split rings, any thoughts?

Hardware is very important. Changing the rings certainly won't hurt if the stock ones look weak. You should be able to buy some of Tony's Traps from him when you get to the Cave. His are very tough! Call me when you get some time.

Greg, they have tons of traps in the right sizes here at G.M., if you can't find them, let me know, I'll bring some down for ya.
