I've come to appreciate gortex rainsuits for sure. What's the best there is?

Cabela's Guide Wear if you can swing the hefty price. I've had mine for about 7 to 8 years now. Seems to be as good as day one. Expensive though, got my better half to pay for part as a birthday present.

I have used "10X" brand for 6 years. It comes in a number of camo colors, and is relatively quiet in the woods. Get it over sized so that you can layer clothes under it. It works great in the winter blocking the wind, and works just as well in the summer time. I got mine at Gander Mountain, but it should also be at Cabela's.

Anybody know who makes quality fishing rainwear in big sizes? Like 3x or 4x?? I'm not talking about the rubberized stuff, I'm talking about nice cordura gore tex lined apparel.

Cabelas Guidewear is the best with a lifetime warranty. Have up to 5XL that should be big enough for everyone. Troy

Yes, the Cabelas Guide ware is expensive, but check out their website for closeouts and sometimes you can land it a little cheaper. We just got a couple real nice parkas on closeout at better than half off. Time of the year to be looking. m

I also have had a 10X set for years, tough as nails, and bone dry after a day long downpour, too.[:)]

I've been using Walls Rainsuits for a little while now and just love them. I think they have the GoreTex in them but I'm not sure. I think the run about $80, but they are well worth it. Late Fall you'll need to make sure your wearing sweat pants and sweat shirts underneath because of the cold. Overall a great suit in my eyes.

I have Columbia gear that is nothing fancy or insulated but keeps me very dry, I bought a large enough size to wear warm clothes underneath.

Hi,
I have two sets of Cabelas Guidewear and love the stuff. Standard guidewear is great for everything from cool rainy summer days to ice fishing, but on hot muggy misty days can get a little steamy. I have a set of the Guidewear Lite I've worn most of the summer the past couple seasons. Regular stuff I have is going on 8 seasons and still in great shape.

Cheers,
RK

I bought my rain gear from bass pro. Not their top of the line but the 200$ for the set kind. One of my best investments. Comes in handy even when it's not raining.

I have been using the Bass Pro "Rip-stop" Gore Tex suit the last three years, and have been very happy with it. It is the $200 suit that ToddM was talking about, and it has never leaked on me, and blocks all the wind. Like everyone else said, get it one size larger than normal to pack on the clothes during the cold months. One of these days I want to try the 100 MPH suit they have!!
