I was wondering what everyones personal preference is for wire diameter on bucktails and why?
I was also wondering what blades and size of blades you prefer?
Your opinions are appreciated

| Wire diameter is usually .045 for smaller tails and.060 for the large ones.
Make sure it is pre straightened Stainless steel wire. Reinke Bros. in Milwaukee has some of the best available.
As far as blades go, that will depend on how you are going to use the bucktail and the size. |

| I use .045 for my smaller bucktails and .051 for my larger bucktails. Its pre straightened stainless steel. I get my wire in bulk from a wire supplier but you can purchase it through Moore's Lures 715-356-6834 call Dick and ask him for a catalog. As far as blade style and size, that can and will vary depending on how your going to fish and where. |
