Posts: 2060 Location: Appleton,WI | ive heard chrome come into play when the water temps drop in the fall. What are your thoughts on chrome and muskie's? | ||

| Actually, chrome is a good color all year round, if the water is clear. A chrome bait with a blue back has been a successful color for me and a few friends. It gives off a great flash on bright sunny days. | |||

| Great color Eric for clear water, like when we finally get out and fish Green Bay I finally have one of your gliders from Todd, and can't wait to toss it after attaching some 5/0s. Thank you, Steve | |||

Posts: 244 Location: Mallard Island Lake Vermilion MN | I like them shinny baits. Mirror finish makes fish pay attention more as they see themself an go on up for a big smooch. Next thing they know I is ripping lips. They are whining>> Hey what the $#%@, that hurts dude!!! Minutes later after a bit of a fit, they come up boat side for some photos and FREE dental work. Posts: 459 Location: New Baden IL | I have caught fish on chrome jakes and chrome believers both in super clear water and super dirty water. There was one stretch that a 10" chrome and blue Jake was the only bait we could move fish on, and ended up breaking both of the ones I had on fish thrashing in the net....oh well at least we caught them before we busted them up. When the water gets so dirty that there is only 6-12" visibility, I love lots of color and flash, so chrome and holoform baits get the nod in my boat. On a side note has anybody had trouble with chrome baits turning cloudy in really cold water? I have one believer that turns almost milky white in cold water... What's up with that?
