The Abu Records I bought at the Milwaukee Show came spooled with Spiderwire. How does this compare to Power Pro, Courtland, or some of the others?

Does anyone know if it's the same stuff Spiderman used to battle Doctor Octopus and the Green Goblin in those movies? If it is, it must be strong because he stopped a subway train with it. Also, what kind of line do you think Batman uses to throw those bat shaped grappling hooks? That automatic reel on his utility belt looks like it would work well to retrieve my new huge XXX bucktail.

Thanks
Kevin

Mike Koepp is officially part of the plan.

spiderwire stealth is about as good as it gets, IMO
smooth casting, great durability, retie just like any other line if you see small nicks.
good stuff.

ROF,LMBA X 1,000! Slap a pat 'o butter on yer cheeks; yer on a roll! A classic GOODER ONE dude; I still gotta 6500 w/ 80lb PP on it that I'll use eventually if I ever 'ski fish again. Some peeps here use SW on their spanish mack rods and seem to like it, and I got some on a sea trout reel that works ok. Someone send Kevin a copy of BLOOD HOOK; if not, I'll send you mine to borrow...

I like the new Stren line out or the Cortland master braid. I personally don't like power pro.

I have never had a problem with Cortland Spectron so never have had a reason to change. Just a guides perspective. It's good stuff!

Mr. W and myself use both; however, this past year cannot tell you how many time had to have the hubby 'stop everything' and change my reel line when using gorilla braid due to frays. which reminds me to tell him this year to change all of the lines on my rods/reels back to SW for future use and less bother for him.

Those pies sure sounded good you and the wife were baking for church .. maybe you should peddle some at the next swap meet in your area -- cause who has time to bake when attending shows and swaps?!?

MuskyHopeful good luck with the SW and any attempts at muskie fishing! Sz

I use both Spiderwire Stealth in 100lb and Power Pro 100lb. I like the Stealth better for summer use as the "teflon" they use does not come off of the line. I have noticed that the stealth holds more water on the line, thus in the late fall it did not perform as well as my Power Pro. Either line is excellent IMHO

I second the Cortland. Never have had a problem. No need to change.
