| Hi, This year I've decided to focus more on my topwater arsenal. I've already got a jackpot and don't want another walk-the-dog style topwater. I'm looking for a good tail-spinning topwater lure and a globe-style lure. Any advice is appreciated, Thanks |

| What about a Topraider? I've heard about the weight coming lose in them but it seems to be a good stand by. Any difference in the action between the Buchertail and ROI ones? Thanks |

| I'll second the motion to get something from Holcombe Tackle. I like the Mag. Stomper personally, but would also look into getting a Top Raider (Mag. Stomper in waves greater than 6" and the Top Raider for those magical evenings when the water is dead calm). The only way that weight is going to come loose in one is if you bang it up against a rock hard enough. If that happens and you want it fixed, send it my way and I'll fix it for free. |

Location: Ames, Iowa | If money is an issue, Slammer Thunderhead and Teasertails are both economically priced relative to some of the others listed. I consider cranks for twitching as topwaters too.

Location: Germantown, WI | check out snowcrest lures for the globe style. they make a bait that i think is called the bullseye. i like mine alot. also like slammer thunderheads as well and lee lures makes some high quality baits.

Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | I love Walk the Dogs like the Recon and Weagle. I saw Lee T's Top Stick bait, but don't see it being heavy enough for chop..although he says it handles 2'ers fine.
If I buy 2 top waters this season they're going to be the Mini LacSeul Turbo and the Dunwright Top Dancer. I spoke with PJ Stoltman at the Show and he's got me convinced on yet another bait....that's three or four now Pete.

Location: north central wisconsin | Rylure tapdancer, Rylure Globes, are my favorites. Sennett pacemakers.. all great lures too. Don't forget hi finn teaser tails. Don't look like much, but they are awesome producers as well. Ryan doesn't like it when I say this, but the topraider is still a go to in my boat. A must have!! I modify mine to make them a bit different/better, but they are good right out of the box too. if the weight comes loose, it is an easy fix. |

| All walk the dog baits work a little different, keep in mind the jackpot is made out of wood, there are different denses of wood, meaning one bait might ride higher in the water than the next, you might want to pick up a few different walk the dog baits, like a Doc, Fat boy, weagle etc... I like the Doc because its plastic, it does not absorb any water and gets water logged like some wood baits do...Good luck  |

Location: mpls | Here's what I use. The walk the dog is a "Trueglide "Heckler" and the prop bait is a Trueglide"Studfinder". The MN. Metro Muskie tournament was wan on the "Studfinder" last year.

| Don't forget to add a flaptail to your box.
I think Sworrall might agree with me on this one.
Awesome lures for those glass calm mornings and evenings, or when they just won't eat faster moving lures.
You can raise them on different top waters and come back and they'll eat a flaptail.
East to use too. Throw them out and reel them in slowly.
And it just so happens that I'm making about 30 or 40 Big Beaver Turds this year. 7+" flaptails that push a wall of water while the butt does a dance as the blade kicks out. Flaptails are also excellent figure 8ing lures.
