| How deep should I fish this time of year for ski's. I generally use bass baits and small bucktails this time of year. Of course in Illinois where the season does not close.

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | which lake in IL are you going to be fishing? Different lakes in this state have very different forage bases. |

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | those lakes consistently kick my butt, but I'd go with a bomber long a in gold/black, a small spinner bait (slow rolled) and try trolling monster shads in orange/black. |

Location: Northern IL | We use to beat up on the chain pretty good a few years back and broke our share of tail lights as well, however the chain is no different than any other body of water. All depths must be checked until you locate the fish. No 2 days are ever the same. Caught them as deep as 40' and as shallow as against the bank at ice out.

Location: Iowa | In Iowa we fish fall spot this time of year being as how the water is still colder than hell...as it starts to warm we will move to shallow flats adjacent to deep water...
