I spent a couple of hours this afternoon at the Milwaukee Show. I browsed around a little bit, and bought a few baits off my Eagle Lake need to have list. I talked to Mr. Worrall, Steve Jonesi, Bruce Shumway, Ty Sennet, Steve Herbeck, Dave Dorazio, and Sloanranger from Badfish Videos. His last name is Sloan, but I've forgotten his first name. I apologize. I disclosed my ignorance early in any conversation, and they were all most helpful and very nice. I bought a XXX bucktail from Steve Jonesi. Very cool. Very Large. When I return to the show tomorrow, I plan on trying to find a younger man I can hire to throw and retrieve it for me. Mr. Worrall explained that enthusiam alone would not get me a new Tuffy boat. Payment is also required. I am only slightly disappointed, as I suspected this to be the case. I looked at the Frabil Big Kahuna for the first time, and if I go in that direction, the younger man that throws the huge bucktail for me will need to serve double duty as my net man. Reel purchases take place tomorrow, and I am leaning toward the Abu Records. I will also become a Muskies Inc. member.

The temperature is much lower in the show building than in Chicago, where I felt my head was going to explode. There is also more room for my 70" x 44" body. I apologize for the name dropping, but it was much easier to talk to people than in Chicago, and I felt very comfortable doing so.

Kevin

The acquiring equipment part of the plan picked up pace considerably today, and will continue tomorrow at the show and swap. It was fun. Tomorrow I will incorporate beverages into my browsing. I'm thirsty.

Muskie Hopeful,

sounds like you had a great time at the show today. i was there this afternoon as well. Love watching the lures in the tank! Makes me miss the inground swimming pool we had at our last house. Always spent hours testing baits, i think my neighbors thought i was nuts! I purchased 6 baits and wanted to thank Lee of Lee Lures for dialing in my new Whopper Popper for me.
I wouldn't mind going back for some of the seminars but weekend is filled up already- Chad

It was a pleasure to speak with Hopeful again. We need to get this gent out there amongst the muskies this year! The Hideout should get a visit or two this summer, one might think!

I just wanted to add my say and tell everyone what a stand-up guy Lee Tauchen is. He unselfishly took the time to adjust three of my surface lures for me that weren't even his product, tested and adjusted them several times to make sure they were running true. I can honestly also tell everyone that I have used his baits last year and they catch fish!! Plus they are musky tough and built like a tank.

Looking forward to another report Kev; take a note pad and such should you quench the thirst upon arrival and forget what you were going to say. A couple of pals and I are taking the Jr dudes to a Monster Truck/4 wheeler/dirt bike show this afternoon, perhaps I'll report on that as well seeing hows the topics are so closely related! Anyhoos, have a gooder one, engage in a group hug and get a photo...

In my mind, Expos = Beer. As a note, I'm afraid of big trucks. That's why I don't have a boat. Yet.
