| When my net fund gets big enough I will be looking for a net to buy, which one should I get? I want one that can move fast in the water and won't hurt fish. A large and durable hoop also. I also would like to know if you should get a deep net like those 72" depths over a 42"? Same price so why do some of you settle for the 42"?
Thanks. |

| e14 - I have about an 8 year old Beckman that I bought new. Has the 42" net. I figure that the net expands and the fish folds as it lays in the net. I think the 42" would be fine except for the most avid trophy hunter who regulary fishes trophy waters.
Also, I have water released the large majority of my fish anyway.

| I have both a Beckman Musky Magnum (52" bag) and a Musky Magnum Finsaver Pen. The "pen" is definitely the way to go. It's a lot heavier, but far easier and faster to work with and definitely easier on the fish. That being said, several peers prefer the Frabill Kwikcradle. I've seen them, but still think the Beckman Pen is THE way to go.

| The big Beckman finsaver is my favorite for one simple reason.....NEVER A CUT FIN.
A deep knotless bag that works like a pen, the only way to go. |
