Location: South Portsmouth, KY | Hey. I am having trouble with my fish finder on the consloe. I have a garmin 240 up front and a humminbird pro angler on the consloe. The humminbird keeps saying "transducer not connected." I have checked and all the wires and they are properly connected around the transducer. I dont know whether to take the problem to a shop and get it looked at or is there something else that i can do to figure out the problem. I read somewhere else that if you have two fishfinders on, the frequencys can create interference and mess things up but i dont know. Any help would be greatly appricated!!! Thanks!!! |

If not, just about anything could be giving it a false signal...from a kicker motor, main motor, trolling motor, other fish finder, etc. |

| Sworrall's solution is the one I vote for. Only problem I have had with these was from the transducer wires getting beat up, nicked, busted inside. New transducer and wire solved the problem. My problems have been on the electric trolling motor wire though, not the rear one. |

To start with, turn the unit on and go back and actually feel the transducer...you should be able to feel or maybe even hear it pinging.
