| If you're not already, try a slight pause between glides. I've seen a lot of guys work those baits and others like it way too fast and the fish fails to get an accurate bead on the target. They just swim side to side chasing and eventually take a stab at it and frequently missing. If you slow it down a bit sometimes they'll hit on the pause or just after when they have a chance to key in on the direction. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | If you are getting lots of follows, the hook ups will come. I work a glider VERY fast, but pause it alot like Pete instructs. I allow the fish to get there, look her over, and the 'zing' between pauses gets me the strike many times. |

Location: Indiana | I've found that the shimmie of the hound is a great way to trigger, alot of my fish have come on the first few jerks. Being somewhat random can help as well. Constant cadence seems to hypnotize fish. |
