i tried calling hermans landing on the chippewa flowage to make some reservations for a friend. no answer, time after time, day after day. same response (none) with emails. anybody know what's going on over there?

Don't know about hermans but some resorts on the flowage close over the winter for awhile. Deerfoot was closed from Nov.-day after Christmas. I called there last week and got a cabin for a week in June. Maybe you could try there unless your friends have their hearts set on hermans. Let me know if you need their phone no. Good Luck. Kevin
