| I've been using a Cabelas drift sock for years. Makes the difference in being able to present certain lures on windy days when you normally wouldn't be able to.
I've never used a bucket, so I couldn't tell you if they work or not, it just seems that something soft is easier to stow than a 5 gallon bucket.
Find the fattest guy on campus and hang a pair of his boxers off of the side of the boat.
I like my sock, except it needs a little stitching after I decided to change spots without bringing it aboard.
Think outside the box and come up with a soft alternative.

Location: Madison, WI | 5 gallon buckets work great and they don't cost 20$. Just make sure you have a couple of good knots!
A drift sock is easier to store though. It's really what are you looking for a willing to spend. |

| I use up to two drift socks for those real nasty days. The buckets may work but they take up too much room as the socks you just fold em up. |

| I couldn't belive my eyes when I seen it ,but I watched a guy use a white plastic lawn chair as a drift sock ! A 5 gal. bucket has to work better than a lawn chair !
