Just curious to know what direction the cash flows... Where do you guys buy the MAJORITY of your new and/or replacement baits? If you purchase at multiple sites, please indicate the estimated percentage at each location.

Also, where do you think a guy gets the best deal, money wise?

You can vote for more than one option, add an option if I missed your's.

i do a lot of online comparison shopping.
i'll open up a couple different websites at the same time that all have the item i want, compare the price plus shipping and handling, and go with the best deal.
i find prices are generally close, but shipping costs can vary quite a bit and makes a big difference.

and i always stop and buy something from the local shop when i'm up north somewhere.

Musky Shows for new stuff or custom colors
Thorne Brothers for most stuff
Pro Tackle Musky Shop for Hughes River stuff
JB's Fishing Depot for Legend stuff
Direct from the Manufacturer for new stuff and custom colors
Big Box stores for special sales and emergency replacements

The musky shows have the new baits first and I usually get alot of stuff there. If I need to replace something, then i will buy from a store, usually a smaller tackle dealer but sometimes a big box store but those are usualy separate trips away from fishing.

I usually buy my needs at musky shops, especially new lures I have heard about but not tried. Also stock up on leaders there, sometimes line.

I buy reels from big retailers and on sale.

I buy rods opportunistically and will swap.

I buy my stuff at the shows, or thorne bros. I've been known to shop in Slamr's tackle box a bit also.....

I buy most of my new baits at the shows, except for baits by the Basement builders who do not attend. I get a few from Nelson's Choice every year, too. Catalogs are great, Smokey's, Rollie and Helens, etc.

Smokey's, I can stop in and look everything over. Thorne Brothers has the best customer service around for on-line ordering.
