Location: Pigeon Forge TN. | I have an 85 hp Johnson electric shift that runs good but needs a shifting coil and a prop. The lower unit had leaked and shorted the coil out before I caught it.
I took the 85 off and put my 9.9 on as the the water I mostly fish is a 10 hp limit.
My boat is only a 14 foot trihull and with the 9.9, gas tank, battery, and misc. the boat would go down stern first if I put the 85 back on and I don't really need it. I also have the shop manual for the Johnson.
I'm asking $ 150.00 for it. A new coil runs approx. $250.00 but I have a local person that rewinds motors and coils and he will do it for $140.00 or less
Would be good deal for someone starting out. If it doesn't go than I will think about parting it out
