Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I fished Minaki when the road was gravel, and Rosies was there. Holst Point was the resort. It is gone now, I beileve. I really liked the chain of lakes there, but the river was what truly drew me to the area. Big muskies, and HUGE hybrids were the draw. All the islands had 'mercury warnings' on little signs back then. The walleye, smallmouth, and pike action was unreal! |

| Hi,
When were you at Holst Point? Looking for some clues. My grandfathers brother built the first Holst Point in 1909 and I am so interested in when it was torn dow or what happened.

| Nice place. Was there last summer the last week of July.
The fish cleaning unit (I forget what they called it) doesn't work....or they can't use it because of regulations. Anyway, I plan to discuss it before going again this year. Looking to go sometime in September.
Let me know if you are still considering North Star Village and I'll be happy to provide you with other details.
