Posts: 814 | In the market for a new boat, would like to know your opinion on these as I can't make up my mind. 1. Ranger 620t or 618t 2. 05 or 06 tuffy 1700 with esox interior, or 05 or 06 tuffy rampage magnum. I do not want an aluminum boat, and I do not want a boat with a console , tiller model only. I recently have an Esox Mag tiller and I absolutly love the boat just looking for some thing to take bigger water. Does the Rampage Mag have the same tri hull as the esox mag, and how does the Tuffy compare to the Ranger in all situations? looking for unbiased opinions please ![]()

Posts: 2091 Location: Stevens Point, WI | I have an 2004 Tuffy Deep V and it really handles the big water really well. Very smooth ride, planes out instantly. The 2005's are really improved over mine even, they put an exceptional amount of thought into how user friendly the storage is.

Posts: 32934 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The Esox Deep V 1760 GT-GC is available very soon. Take about $2000 off the 1760 Osprey average retail price, take the cap off the boat and add the Esox Mag style 'all fishing room low profile' style gunnel, the 1700 GT front and rear polyflake cap appointments, and there she is. The boat is 17'6" long and 84" wide, hardly 'narrow' for a 17-1/2' boat. The interior is also all new, with a touch pad command center, 52" rear livewell, 8.5' center load 14 rod storage, and much more. This is a dedicated Muskie rig, built on the concept of the Esox Magnum but with the all new appointments including a SAS helm seat standard, offering 100% composite construction, sealed dry storage, a totally new console and interior design and new graphics on a balanced, easy to control, great riding hull. Don't confuse this boat with the old Rampage series, this is a dedicated tournament rig proven on several Walleye Circuits to be one of the best 17'6" big water rides on the water. Tuffy dedicated this new design to the Muskie angler, and is excited to be building the prototype as I type this. The new all new 1890 will be available VERY soon. 18'9", 97" wide, Tuffy's new interior configured for Muskie in the Esox Deep V and for Walleyes in the Osprey, rated at 200 HP and offering Walk Through Windshield, Dual Console, Single Console, or Tiller models. This is going to be a great ride. Tuffy also upgraded the interior, seats, cosmetics and more on the 1700 GT/GC model. 20 gallons of gas, a 52" livewell, for real 8' front loading rod locker, 82" wide, low to mid thirties with a hole shot of 4.5 seconds loaded using a stainless three blade prop and a 60 HP Mercury or Suzuki, fully loaded and ready to fish.
