cold? bahhh! 23 degrees this morning in UTAH and Sorno and i still managed to put the boat in the water at first light.
the trolling motor was frozen in place, the gloves were stiff, the water bottles were solid...
3rd cast of the day...fish on! i managed to score my first "western strain" muskie, a feisty 31" tiger.
Sorno and i each lost a fish, had a follow from a nice one, and i caught an undersize as well.

and i will have fun...
and i will take pictures...
and they will have mountains in them...

(pics when i get home next week)

thanks Sorno for a great time!

Someone needs to ask him about the 'Bobbie fish'...strange coincidence or are muskies truly psychic?

Awesome Lambeau!

I will get to Utah. A Spring trip may become a reality next year.

true story...
i was working my Bobbie and asked Sorno if he'd ever seen the "Bobbie Fish" in Pearson's Muskies on the Shield dvd.
he said he'd never seen it.
i started relating the story, and at the end of my cast gave my Bobbie one last pull and let it do the "death rise".
literally as i was saying..."right about here this big muskie comes up from below out of nowhere and nails the lure"...
a very nice tiger comes up from below my Bobbie from practically straight down.
sadly, it turned away and didn't recreate the moment quite perfectly for Sorno to see how it goes on the video.
it was practically scripted.

fishing is cool.

Lambeau,
That is classic, and probably was scripted by one of Sorno's Chamber of Commerce fish.
