| I was fishing a large flat the other morning ,early. I kept hearing swirls or boils behind me, so I turned and started casting to them. I saw some very large (what had to be muskies) actually pourposing. I threw glides ,spinnerbaits, bucktails and cranks with no takers. What should I have done? |

| I asked this question to a well know and well respected Chippewa Flowage guide many years ago. Specificaly I asked "what do you do when you see a muskie porpoise? His response was something of a joke "I throw the other direction" but he went on to say........"I have never caught a muskie that I threw to that porpoised but it has worked for others. Those fish do what they want not what we wish."
No answer there but I think that is the answer. No one knows what will work for sure at any time. |

Location: Seymour, WI | I was fishing Caldron falls a few yrs ago and there was a large muskie that was jumping and rolling several times. I fished the area for a long time and could not get a follow or strike no matter what I threw at it.
