Hey all- Posted a few weeks ago about upcoming trip to the chip was looking for info. Well we just got back and had a great time, stayed at Indian Trail, talked to John Detloff, but wouldn't give up any info.... hung out with Pat at the little red bar... .and fished a bunch.
Hired Dave Darozio and hit some action lakes, I got a nice 42" about 20lbs...missed one on a sucker. Buddy got a 35" and two nice sized pikes, no pic of pikes... Dave must not like those fish he just throw them back without even getting a pic, he didn't even want to let us take a picture of the 35". Other wise it was lots of fun and Dave kept us on our toes with his quick witted comments (i got a birds nest on the 5th cast, he said he got a birds nest once back in 1971 when his arm was in a sling). Except for the hurricane winds on Friday and Saturday, the chip was tough to fish, all we got were pikes and some bass. Hit a lot of points, bars and cribs, but depsite us going out on the lake blind, we will be back next year. We did learn a lot for our first time up there.

Sounds like a great trip, and a day with dave Dorazio had to cap the trip. Weather was tough everywhere in the North, it was howling over here Saturday.

Nice vacation...

Any day in the boat with Dave is worth it, whether the fish are going or not.
