Since Fall trolling is upon us just about now,
depending on where we live,
just wanted to gets everyones thoughts and input on the luck they have had in the past few years
on trolling big crank baits and catching big muskies.
Im talking 14" jakes. 13" believers & Grandma's, Wishmasters, Or any other big baits for trolling?

I want to prove a point this fall, Bigger Bait catches bigger fish?
Im going to do nothing but troll big cranks this fall!
Last fall Prostaff members of WFO Outdoors got some big fish on a 13" Grandma's.
including a 52.5"

Good luck this fall!

Big lures do catch bigger fish and this weekend I will be trolling all those puppies around the Ottawa River looking for another big gal. Legend Plows rock, along with 13" Grandmas, Talonz Deep Threats and Franky Baits in addition to what lures you already mentioned

Ask HRJohnny is big baits catch big fish...he stuck a piggie on a wishmaster...i'll let him tell you about it though...I believe in huge baits catching huge fish...that is all I am going to use this fall...I wish Joe Bucher would come out with a 12 inch depth raider...

I have a couple really big crank baits that were for saltwater. They look like a Rapala sort of and dive to about 10'. Would those work OK?

Sure, I have a countdown Rapala for saltwater that works great. If it has double hooks you might want to replace them with trebles

You also might consider the 10"-14" Deep diver model Slammer crankbaits.

From mid October untill ice up all I pull are baits 12 inches and up and my average size is over 45 inches. It maybe a little later this fall as our water temps are still in the high 60's.
