Posts: 578 Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | Hey Steve, Just wanted to give you a little report from our own neck of the woods. I was able to "store guide" a couple of guys to a 51"er on an area lake on Saturday evening. They had been fishing some really clear waters in the area and then one stained water Saturday morning. I told them that it would be in their best interest to shy away from some of the clear lakes this weekend with the high sun. They asked about one stained water lake in particular, but I "guided" them to a different lake and marked a map for them. The musky was caught right at dark and they were able to get really poor polaroids, which was too bad. They did not get a good pinch of the tail, so it may have been larger. The fish had a very large girth as well. These guys are from southeast Wisconsin and fish some really good lakes down there, but come up to our "play grounds" to get the big girls. Remember everyone, there are NO big musky in Wisconsin; particularly in the Rhinelander area. LOL Good Fishing, Chuck | ||

Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | We spent Friday-Sunday on North Twin. We had a great time with great friends. That was the good news. We had 17 muskies upto the boat with the greatest percentage over 36". One was 46". How do I know, you ask? Because the next boat right behind us caught it! Follow, follow, follow! Frustration! We boated one 30"er, and a northern. We had three blow up on topwater baits and never make contact. Its called fishing, not catching! Water temperatures were 68-70.
