| I am wondering how much is too much to pay for some topwaters. I really like the sublety of a lure like a flaptail, but have a hard time finding them. I know that they are not a big seller therefore when I do find some I would like to buy more than one. Any ideas of who cares a variety modestly priced ( however I would go a bit overboard for one ) flaptails please let me know.

| Look for Beaver Turds, as close to a Snodlo as you can get!
He is an old retired guy that makes very limited quantites of quality baits, and occassioanlly frequnts this site.
He has delusions of baing a walleye angler but his true roots keep bringing him back to the musky world.
Between the hockey with is daughter and huffing paint fumes in his shop he may have time to push out a Turd for you.

| Also from the same company as the rattle hawg is the Boss Hawg topwater. It's jointed and has a bit of flap tail action. Have raised fish numerous times on it this season and caught one in limited outings.

Location: north central wisconsin | Roger watters(h20) hybrid flaptail, Da Ratt, is also very cool. Some very nice fish moving on that lure lately. Ryan Jinkerson(Rylure) also makes a nice flaptail that is similar to the old Snodlo but a bit longer. Nice lure too. |

| Old retired guy?!?.....I'm not even 50!!!!!
Haven't made any Beaverturds in a couple of years because I can't find anyone to make the bodies...(HINT HINT).
The last ones that I had a wood shop teacher turned on a lathe for me...they wound up as kindling.
Anybody have a lathe and know how to turn out some bodies?
I'll trade you Turds for bodies. I think I have about a dozen of the old heavy blades left.

| I got the pic, but I don't know what happened to the text. That is a Wallygobber. Runs just under the surface with a slow wobble and the blade spinning on a straight retrieve. Snapping the rod or short snaps of the reel handle makes the tail plop the surface and shots it side to side or straight. I like to plop it on the surface a couple of times, pause, run it under the surface a few feet, let it rise and do it again. Later |
