Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | Hey Steve,
Smoked fish is done!!! Some is going to be made into my infamous smoked salmon spread (crackers provided:-) ) Have to stop and get the oil for the cooker. 4 massive fillets of salmon are all thawed out, just have to cube, bread and cook and 4 more are in the process of thawing out now. Baby red just have to be sliced and deep fried. Its free guys and ladies, 300lbs or so of salmon fillets in one weekend filled the freezer up to capacity (and a little beyond). Kristy is having a big sale as well. If you have never had deep fried salmon, gotta give this a whirl. It is fantastic cold the next day too. If I do not stop now, my key board is going to short out from me drooling all over it.
Sorry, but it is bring your own beer.
Hope to see some of you guys there.

Location: Sheboygan Falls, WI | Bytor, I am sure you are just kidding, but I can make it from Rhinelander to the Belt Line in about 3 hours, give or take 15 minutes.
Had to run home. 25lbs of smoked salmon almost gone. Trying to power brine some more for tomorrow afternoon. With the electric smoker, I can have it done in a couple of hours. Much easier to do fillets than whole fish.
Went through almost 40lbs of fillets deep frying. Many people coming in saying they never had, nor ever heard of, deep fried salmon. VERY positive comments. Going through that much fish is a tell tale sign of how good it is. 10lbs of sliced baby reds gone as well. Oh yes, one whole large jar of Milwaukee Midget dills are gone too.
My infamous smoked salmon spread? That too is almost gone.
People are asking for this to be an annual event. You know what that means? I HAVE TO GO FISHING TO CATCH THE FISH!!!! That will not be a problem at all.
GOD I LOVE COOKING, ALMOST AS MUCH AS CATCHING THEM. OKAY, SO CATCHING THEM IS A LOT MORE FUN, BUT I STILL LOVE TO COOK!!!
