When your trolling a deep cisco based lake do you downsize your lures? I thought I heard you shoud troll
faster in clear water? Does shortlining work in deep lakes?

Guest, we troll clear water with 14-16"baits with 60-75ft of line down to 14-20ft depths with success. Speed varies from 2.5 -4.5 mph. Sometimes boards out the side works other times it doesn't matter. I use larger lures in clear water it works for me. Short lines may work but I set lines where the forage is (14-20 ft down). capt bigfish
