Posts: 358 | That Suick that is under the "Red Head" is what I won my first tournament on back in 98' Great color pattern and bait for some of those Northern WI lakes. I got to try out some of the factory weighted 7"ers this spring. I REALLY like those baits. Keep me posted on your guide venture Steve. I am in the process of putting together my links page on my site and I would be happy to add you to the list.

Posts: 4266 | I bought several antique Suicks a few years ago. I painted them and changed some hardware and use them instead of the new ones. They have a shimmy and move better than the mass produced square shaped ones that are made now. The last time I bought some 10"ers, I put them in the vise and sanded off every sharp corner on top and the sides until they were rounded like the originals. The new ones still catch fish, and that plain old "chop" motion still works in the fall, but give me the old timers. Beav

Posts: 938 Location: NeverNever Lake | Here's some oldies that I re-painted/epoxied. They are the original round-bodied, black/white or grey/white colored Suicks. Very unique action for sure, a couple of them I consider gliders more than chop style baits. Most of them I added weight to, as the original trebles were very heavy. I add split rings and 4/0 Lazers........
