Location: lansing, il | hey guys i was out on indiana musky waters yesterday with my buddy mike, with a temp/oxy probe and a aqua cu camera and found that even though the surface temps have begun to drop a little we still have water temps at 80 degrees as far as 15 ft down, at the 15 ft level the oxy level drops drasticly. im not telling anyone not to fish here but i would use extreme caution i think its gonna take a while before the temps get into a comfort range for the fish. we talked with the dnr who told us of a few fish going belly up on guys, and also spied a fish on the aqua vu holding tight to the bottom with some pretty beat up fins that apeared to not be doing well at all. maybe a possible delayed mortality fish who knows???? anyway just thought id share this cause i know alot of guys here fish the indiana waters. |

Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | Drew,
I have been to webster plenty of times in the past two weeks, but not to fish. I have been keeping people posted on my site about the high water temps.
Temps are 80+ degrees on the surface all the way down to 16 feet.
People are being smart and not fishing right now. The chances of catching one and having it die is VERY VERY high.
If you need more info about this, you can visit my site, go to my message board and you'll find all kinds off good info about water temps, oxygen levels, clarity, dead fish, etc.....
Yes they did do a week kill but that was back in June. |
