Posts: 1936 Location: Eau Claire, WI | Well how'd the weekend play out for you? I only got out Sat. evening for about 2 hours, otherwise spent time working around the ranch and put a few miles on the Harley. Water temps are back down to the mid 70's, with the cooler nights now it should stay out of the 80's until next season. Local fishing should be improving soon. So how'd you do..?

Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Sue and I fishedcrappies and bluegills Saturday, and pounded them but good. Nice gills up to about 1/2 pound, and crappies to 12". YUMMY! We fished muskies yesterday for about three hours for the evening bite, but only saw two, both low and slow.

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Fished the Brew City's Tourny on the BIG POND out of Milwaukee Saturday morning. We took 1st place for BIG FISH with a 22# 21oz Brown Trout. $1000.00 was the prize for big fish. We finished in the top 1o out of 100 boats. Cool Beans for sure. Went out on Pewaukee Lake Sunday afternoon and stuck a fat 45-incher in the first hour. Then a 46 3/4-incher followed up with a 43-incher the second hour and a 35-incher to round off a great night out with a friend of mine. My clients tonight are in for a real treat. Lots of bait all stacked up in one area. Thats the ZONE for tonight. Great weekend with no work, just play.

Posts: 20281 Location: oswego, il | Saturday morning I helped out with the Fox River Valley kids fishing tournament and 368 fish were caught. My area was hot and a kid in my area placed in almost every grouping in the 8-10 age group. The only bass i registered at 3.75" took 2nd place! Seriously, it was a great event and the kids had a ton of fun. Saturday eve was the Quad County Musky Hunters hog roast. Had some fun there as i have known some of these guys since i was a little kid. Sunday I picked up my kids for 2 weeks and went to see my nephew luke race his go-cart. 2nd quick time, missed it by .003 secons. Won the heat and placed 2nd in the feature, getting past on the last lap by the guy he passed the lap before. He should have waited 1 more lap to draft by. It moved him up to 2nd place in the points in the traveling series he is in with 2 races to go!

| I was up in Vilas County Firday evening through Sunday afternoon. Stuck a few low 30 fish from Fri night to Sat night and raised one pig out night fishing. Half hour before we packed up I caught a nice 44.5" which ended the trip nicely... Sure got chilly out there at night! Attachments ---------------- 44 aug 14 2.jpg (30KB - 93 downloads) | |||

| Yeah not a tiger. But some nice markings nonetheless and a strong fish. Can't wait to catch her again in a few years... | |||

Location: Contrarian Island | Hit Vilas/Oneida/Iron with Mike, aka, "Lambeau", saturday afternoon, until tuesday afternoon..Hit about 4 bodies of water, caught fish on each one! Not bad at all considering we were mainly fishing ultra clear water with high pressure and sunny skies...We put 6 in the net, 46.5", 38", 37.5", 36", 35.5" and 31"...all fish came on deeper breaks...Had action from 14-16 others Mike also raised one that he gave the ol "oh my f-ing god" when he saw it...

| Well, Didn't fish this weekend but last Wednesday: 41 (Magnum Bulldog), 42 (Lac Suel Turbo), 44(Lac Suel Turbo) plus I saw five more fish but no bitters. Went back out on Thursday after work and: 37 (Magnum Bulldawg), 39 (Magnum Bulldawg) and my first ever fish over fifty a 51.5 (10 inch Redhorse Jake). What a couple of nights for a Wisconsin boy fishing some Minnesota lakes (Detroit and Pelican Lakes out in Western Minnesota. Also heading up to Plantangenet Lake for a Wednesday Night through Saturday Morning. Casey Johnson | |||

First time that my wife said that she did not want to come home after a week and a half of fishing...... Wish I was still up there. Big girls were chewing on G.P. Thumper spinnerbaits. Posts: 516 Location: Kildeer, IL | Lambeau, Does that guy holding the fish own a tackle box? I don't think I have ever seen that many lures out at once!

Location: Contrarian Island | that isn't even that bad...i didn't even have my bait tube thing on the seat post full..... i don't have a single tackle box out to keep the boat uncluttered...when running around fighting fish a clean boat comes in handy

| Well that would make sence. But why lead us all to believe that he did it? Lets not give credit to an EXCELLENT Charter captain, lets all just inflate our own egos and lead everyone to belive that we are the end all, cure all, greatest fisherman out there! Please, it should be Mikes Extreme Self Promotions! | |||

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Honest Joe, "Mike, I fished the Brew city tourny, and could not help but wonder how you won big fish honers when Captain Mark Sobieski of Maritime Charters took that honor. He finished up the tournement in 13th place as well. For a full list I went to GLSFClub.org and did not even see you in the listing. Were you even there?" Very nice to see this JOE blow. Call Mark and ask him if he had me out..............Why would your doubt me??? If you were there you would have seen me bring the cooler up and load all of our fish into the basket AND hold up the Brown Trout for all to see and take a few pictures. Mark Waverly (spelling) was the Capt. His boat was "The Waverly". Not sure how to spell makes last name but I could go look it up on my phone. Would you like his phone number to call him and check up on my info??? PM me if you have any more questions. I weighed in 125 pounds at the weigh in. Mark was putting the boat away while we wieghed in. My good friend and client Perry L. books this tourny with Mark every year. There was 5 of us total. We gave Mark the whole $1000.00 for the day out with him. I also have guided Mark on Pewaukee for muskies with Perry. Sorry I didn't explain myself better to avoid confusion, didn't think it mattered. Nice to know we finished 13th. Thanks for that info.

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Sorry Joe, Mark should get credit for sure. " We took 1st place for BIG FISH with a 22# 21oz Brown Trout." WHERE DO I TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS. Notice the "We" not "I". By the way, I did set that dipsy rod out that morning just before the fish it that rod. Maybe all my clients should make sure they put my name under their pictures of the fish I trolled up for them. Lets get real............................... Please e-mail me or call me so we can talk about this man to man. Not behind a made up name. Edited by Mikes Extreme 8/17/2005 2:35 PM

Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | I can say that Mike is a class act. He readily helps others out, and I wouldn't say that he is bad about self promotion. He is one of the top guides that frequent this board. He had a great weekend on the water, and showed his results. I think that's what the Weekend Reports are for. If we weren't "self promoting", then the weekend reports would look similar to this: Joe Shmoe: I went fishing Fred Smed: I went fishing also, great job Joe. Keep up the good work Mike! I'm not one to go looking for confromtations, but come on, that was not really necessary.

Posts: 734 Location: Watertown, MN | Honest Joe: What is your name, why not logged in, I don't think mike overstated anything that happed. If you ever met they man you would know that he is not a self promoting person, but a great guy in the musky world who is always willing to help anyone out. Maybe a little envy about what there boat did?? Go Fishing Joe, relieve some internal anger Troyz
