Two part question 1) Going to vermilion have an ifinderh2o do you need an external antenna? Lowrance offers an external passive and a remote amplified antenna. Are either necessary? 2) Which chip, navionics or lake master for vermilion? This website is the best tool. So glad Gore invented the internet. Thanks.

Used a Lakemaster chip last week and was happy with it. Was able to run right up on mid-lake struture no problem. The one thing I do like about the Navionics chip however is the darker colors on the shallow areas.....make running up on something shallow less likely as compared to actually having to read depth markings while driving.

You shouldn't need an antenna with your H2O.
