| We will be hosting Dr. Robert Anderson of Wisconsin Lutheran College who will give us his final presentation on the Pewaukee Lake Musky Study. This is the same presentation that he will be giving at the Muskellunge Symposium this fall.
The meeting is on Tuesday, August 23 at 7:30 @ Legacy Fine Dining, 14955 W. National Ave.
This ground breaking study was initiated by the Milwaukee Chapter. A request for an increased size limit on this awesome fishery was met by DNR fishery biologists stating that they didn't know alot about the musky fishery in Pewaukee.
From this Study we have found out about the musky population, size structure, home ranges, stomach contents and many other interesting facts.
This Study has spawned other studies on water quality and weed growth that will ultimately influence the long range quality of this urban fishery.
While most of the funding for this Study has come from fundraising efforts by the Milwaukee Chapter and it's many supporters, we also recieved additional funding from Miller Brewings Friends of the Field, The Wisconsin Muskellunge Club, The Wisconsin Musky Alliance, and several other chapters of Muskies Inc. |
