Any opinions on this unit as a replacement for my 350A? I'm not opposed to a separate mapping unit but my 350A backlight is shot and I wouldn't mind the upgrade to color. Plus I'm cheap so the price is easier to take than some other options.

I made the exact same move that you are thinking about. Actually, my 350 (not A) is working fine, I'm considering moving it to the bow position. A fine locater in it's own right.

I bought the 337c for the mapping capability. The better resolution makes up for the somewhat smaller screen size compared to the 350. And the color is a great feature.

The only downside is the 337c transducer mounting holes didn't line up with the universal mounting plate on my boat. So I had to drill new holes. The dual freq transducer is quite large, too.

If you have the cash, I'd say go for it.

BTW, what was the difference 'tween the 350 and 350A?
