Cedar lake about 15 minutes north of the NW corner has a fishable population of muskies with a shot at a biggie as well as a good supply of bait fish like pike and walleye.

Bingos to her, you're after muskies. After chatting last week with the DNR folks there at ML, I suggest you work around the wind and stay on that water. I fished it in 20mph w/ a 14' boat, no prob, just had to find friendly bays. You can too, just listen to your weather radi-ro and be ready to move quickly to another access if risk presents. You want a 50 in that area, fish ML.

Um, I was there for only 3 days, so my informed opinion is a bit impaired, but I'm a big fan.

Cedar is a very good lake. It has been puting out some good #'s and size. You also have a O.K. chance at a 50 as well. Fish the islands but dont forget to cast or troll the steap brake lines or the cabage flats as to these can be very goog at times.
