Posts: 941 Location: Freedom, WI | Check out this picture of a walleye caught on a Nitro. Look at the water behind the walleye to see not one but two muskies following the walleye! Rick Meverden caught the walleye in Canada last week. Attachments ---------------- walleye with muskies.jpg (38KB - 254 downloads)

Posts: 376 Location: Lake Vermilion Tower, MN | That is very interesting Roger. Last summer I caught my largest muskie and my largest walleye of the year on a Nitro. Looks like I better get one in a walleye pattern. "Ace"

Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | Just stands to reason, the dumb walleye would hit before the muskies got to it!!!!! Awesome pic Roger, hopefully I will have some for you when we get back from Lake of the Woods next week!

Posts: 941 Location: Freedom, WI | When Rick brought it over I thought it was to cool not to share. Believe it or not he told me it was in 4 to 6 feet of water (on rocks) in the middle of the day and he caught more than one. He brought back some Muskie pics also. And the Nitro was black and gold with holofoil.

| Awesome picture Roger, I had two monsters follow a pacemaker last season so this was a nice reminder. I love my Recon by the way. I am working out of Appleton on a weekly basis, so let me know if you would like to get out and try for some Fox River Valley muskies | |||

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | That is a very cool photo. Roger, I lost a very nice walleye on a large Rusty Saturday morning. It, too, was in quite shallow water.

Posts: 30 Location: Woodridge, Ill | We had a big girl tow us around in Sabaskong a few years back. We had a nice size walleye on the stringer and the muskie grabbed it like a dog bone and just started swimming with it, towing the aluminum boat. What makes this all the better, we have it on tape !!!!! You can easily guage the size of the fish too. The scary part was when the fish started thrashing around ; I could not get the metal stringer off the boat and the fish was really pissed off too !!! We usually have at least one of these " drive bys " happen every time we go up. Last year it was another big muskie that mauled a small northern boatside. This year we had a giant northern in whitefish completely anhilate another small northern. Gotta love LOTW
