Anybody else find these bugger hard to tune. They never really settle into wiggle for me.It's one way or the other the dart off.I've play with hooks, spilt rings, and How I attach them to leaders. The smallest adjustment usally send them off the other direction.I tried slow and fast speed.I 've got two, ones isn't bad but the other one seems hopeless.Any tips. Thanks Blummer

I had one that ran great until I caught a fish, then the metal eye became loose in the lip and it won't track straight for more than a few seconds. I'm thinking of super-glueing the area to keep it from wiggling but for now its in the back of the box.

Monster Shads come in three models, shallow, medium and deep. I can't find any retailers that carry the deep model locally so I have to buy them on-line. A lot of people think they have a deep model but actually have a medium model. If you are not running the deep model that may be why you are frustrated. I like to troll them fast 4.3+. IMHO only the deep model will run this fast. The deep model has a metal ball in middle of the lexam lip, the medium does not.

Mine is a medium one.An your right they won't take speed at all.But of the two I got only one of them actually tries to track stright. Now as I look at them the heads are different too.The head is bigger on the one that doesn't track. It's odd, I brought them right besides each other ,same package like one wasn't an older model ,but the head on the baits are totally different shape. The eye area is more pudgey. It's got bug eyes.Blummer

I love the medium one. All mine tune great, never had any problems tuning them. Unlike Joe, I my fish come on the medim. I have a bunch of deeps but for some reason the fish don''t eat them as much. It only takes a slight tqeak to get them right.
