We are booked on Mille Lacs July 17 through that next Sunday.

I am worried about water temps on the lake.

Anyone know of some other options for fishing action in that area if the water temps get to high?

The boys will be stir crazy if its too hot to muskie fish.

I have never been to this part of MN, what are some options in that area.

Bars, tackle shop, hooter bars, ect................

If the water temps get too hot on Mille Lacs, they are going to be too hot anywhere else too.

Just fish it.

I don't know a lot about that particular area, sorry. I tried to find a listing for McQuoids' lodge website, I thought they had some area attractions listed when we stayed there several years ago. I can dig around in my Minnesota Vacations literature tonight for ya. m

here it is: http://mcquoids.com/area_attractions.html

Hey Mike-
Worse comes to worse you put up an tent and sell tickets to see the "worlds tallest midget" and have Jason smith do a song and dance for the paying customers....

Give Jason a big smooch for me!

My uncle just called me all excited because there's a huge muskie under his dock up there. My aunt was coming out on the dock and it was just sitting there.

I asked him what the temps were:
Inshore 80
On the flats 76-78

Pray for a good storm to whip things up a bit.

I had water temps of 70 to 75 on 7/11. So I think you'll be ok. But it's been hot and only getting down into the 60s most nights. If it's not too hot after Sunday, you should be fine. The water will be the coolest at night. So maybe night fishing will be in order.

Mike there is some good river fishing, although I probably won't want to run that 620 down the river.

Good luck

Water temps should be in the mid to high 70's by early next week.

Small cool front movin in Saturday late.

With some rain we should be ok.

I hope.............
