I would split the time between LOTW and Rowan, lots of other great waters out there but these are my top two.

If I wasn't musky fishing:
I'd spend 5 weeks in Australia off the Great Barrier Reef fishing for Black Marlin. You spend your nights on a 100' motor yacht, fully serviced and pampered by a great crew....just on the inside of the reef. Then you take off in the morning in a serious fishing boat.....like a 31' Bertram or a 53' Hatteras.....trying to hook up with a 1000+ pound Marlin. There are 2000 pound fish hooked, but these fish are never caught. But I'd try!!! These trips cost about $15,000--$20,000 a week.

If I was musky fishing:
I'd split the 5 weeks with Marc Thorpe and Mike Lazarus......fishing specific areas that I could tell you about, but then I'd have to kill ya.

Either way, it would be a great time. Just as important, I'd have to my fishing partner with me....TomCat. Trip wouldn't be the same without him.

Peace!!

How about this?

1 week in July, 9-16, fishing the Northwest Angle of LOTW.
1 partial week in July, 27-31, fishing Minaki.
1 week in September, 17-24, fishing Crow Lake.
Fishing every possible chance this summer and fall on quality waters in northern Wisconsin. Oh that's right, we don't have any quality waters up here, do we.

That is how my summer is laid out for this year. Not bad little trips if I do say so myself.

If money were not an object! Easy, all season on Lake of the Woods! Get a houseboat and explore the lake for the whole season. Move the houseboat from bay to bay. Start up at the Angle and points North, Hit Sabaskong before the bloom hits bad, and in the fall when the trout and whitefish are spawning I'd be on Whitefish looking for the muskie that thinks trout is a delicacy (sp?)

During the winter I'd head to Florida for some shark fishing on the shallow inshore flats, Then in the spring a little time chasing stripers. Not sure of the right time of year but I'd take a week or two and head out to Oregon and Washington for some White Sturgeon. Can you say 10+ feet long and maybe 500 pounds boys and girls? Sure I knew you could.

This is tough.....I would consider fishing muskie waters within my economic structure now...so it it would be
1. Fishing big peacocks on the Rio Negro in Brazil
2. Fishing bonefish on Christmas Island.....and other big saltwater critters
3. Egypt fishing for nile perch
4. Tree River in Canada for trophy arctic char
5. Fishing Siberia for taimen and giant rainbow trout

I would have said fishing Clipperton Island off of Costa Rica for giant yellowfin tuna and wahoo but that is a 2-3 week trip all by itself.........would be fun.
The aspirations for halibut and salmon don't seem as exciting since I live in Alaska.

I've got one of the top 3 muskie fisheries right here and the other two are within 2 and 6 hours away.

I would be spending my time chasing the biggest fish on the East and west coast all well as Africa and Australia.
