| Whats your favorite lure to throw during the early "first light" part of the morning? Considering the weather is an average 55-65 degree morning and no wind in early July.
Jerk bait? Spinner bait? What have you had success with?

Location: Pittsburgh, PA | i would go with top waters. my best 2 hours of the day last year were between 6 and 8 am. one day i saw 6 fish in an hour and a half and landed 3. all on a super top raider. |

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | For a typical early July I would agree completely with Mr. Pike. You are targeting aggressively feeding fish in a narrow window (daybreak). I would use something to cover as many good spots as you can in a hurry, either a topwater or a bucktail.
The nice thing about first light is that you rarely have to share the lake, making your milkrun all yours.

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | Crankbait! This is prime time suspendo action on many pressured lakes in Vilas county. Depending on the year, give me a 10" Jake, Ernie, DDD, or Warner crank and I'm ready to be slimed.
If for whatever reason the suspendos haven't been going the last couple of days I would go shallower to the cabbage beds and toss a Mepps Magnum or Mepps Musky Marabou and burn them over the tops. Like Norm said fish fast looking for the active fish, and hit your milkrun. |

Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | I'm in the top water group. I'm usually throwing top water at both dawn and dusk, and maybe throughout the day too, depending on conditions.
