Fished the toilet bowl on Friday with Esoxsucceful and one of his clients. He caught a 34 and 36, and we had
7 other follows. Water temp was 52-53 all day. It rained on and off all day and the wind was howling later in
the day, Maybe some of the guys in the Walleye Tourney left early as there were very few boats out.

Hopefully the weather will get better for the tourney next saturday.

Went out for 5 hours on Sunday 24th and it was brutal. We moved two fish but nothing in the boat. COLD was the theme for the day. I think it was noon when I could finally start feeling my fingers. Warmest water we could find was only 54. We saw water as cold as 48.

Fished it Sunday from 1-5pm dragging one sucker. Didn't cast beacause boat control sucked. Worked the sucker in the weed pockets as best I could with two footers at times. Killed three batteries in 5 hours. Even the wind sock had it's moments. Gave it hell and walked away empty.

Fished it Sunday with Bob Dourlain, 2 follows (both probably mid 30s) and 2 in the boat (34-36" [no measure] and a 20"er). All on baby twitchbaits.
I am SO ready to win the FRV tourney on Sunday.

More the wedding than the consumation, that has been a consistent process from courtship til now.

WE ARE TOTALLY GOING TO WIN!!!! Go Team Golden!

Cancelled my guide trips out there this past weekend due to cold fronts & winds. Hopefully Frankie will have a horseshoe in his butt come Saturday and we can at least boat one!!

Slmr,

The tourney is on Saturday. If you're fishing Sunday you probably won't win.

Karl,
We have the beach cleared for you to stage the boat there for you. I'd plan on getting there by 5:00 AM or so.

Was out Tuesday (5/17), had two follows on Catherine on baby gliders. Then had two fish hit and miss on Marie and Bluff.

Just can't seem to connect with them this year!!!!!

I was also out on Catherine Tuesday and didn't see a fish. Weagle, Jake and bucktails were the baits of choice. The weather sure as hell was nice though.

It's been very slow out there.. I raised 14 with a rattle trap in my three outings this year but they just followed to the boat. I think we need a hot day or two to get things going.
Heading up North for the opener to fish some prestine lakes in the Ottawa.

Very true, the fish are very slow out there. In my last (and only) 2 outings I have seen a total of 7 fish. One day all on bucktails and spinners and the next on baby gliders but two seemed to want to commit with the gliders. Those two fish also came a bit shallower than the follows did.
