Long weekend ahead, and the Northern WI opener. Where's everyone headed..? I"ll be right here at home on Wissota or one of the other local lakes.

Looking at the forecast, I'm probably going to hit something with dark water and some current. That means I have narrowed it down to about ten different waters. At some point I bet I'm on Pelican though!

I think I will do something different and try the Chippewa Flowage!!!!

Thinking back that has been my same opening day body of water for almost 20 years. I know what the first handfull of spots will be and hopefully I am on the water by 5:00 a.m., and I know what four baits I will have rigged.

I sent out a bunch of invites to the fish last weekend when I was up there so we'll see who shows.

Spider, Stella, and maybe another small lake or two. Pelican will see my topwater a bit, for sure.

Some of the smaller, shallower, dark water lakes between Minoqua, Boulder Junction, and Mercer. The gas card is about to take a big hit in the next 5 months.

I'll be with my girls this weekend and probably take them bass fishing near my house. N WI opener for me is June 11-17 on the Mighty Chip. That looks like my next time on the water with work unless Matchfishing June 10 works for another Pool 7 Southern team?

Can't make th opener but will be heading to Lac Courte Oreilles and Namakagon the following week.
Going to try and catch some of those "runts" out of LCO.
Most likely will be tubing for smallies some of the time too.

NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!!!!!

FOR ME TO KNOW AND YOU NOT TOO!!!! :)-

Some body of water up here that does not have ice on it, but has musky in it.

All I know is that I am fishing alone.

Be safe everyone. May the musky gods break down and give you a 50"er before your boat partner.
