| I just bought a new T-8 kicker for my 1850 Fishawk. Got a question about hooking up the kicker. The gas line that comes out of the well in the rear of the boat - I'm assuming that is only a gas line as I have an HPDI engine and the oil is directly injected into the engine, correct? SO, I can take and split that gas line and run one to my main engine and one to the kicker? My dealership told me not to worry about an on/off valve for the kicker but I am going to put one in anyway. Maybe just an antisiphon valve just to prevent vapor lock. Anyone see any problems with what I am trying to do? Just want to be sure I hook everything up correctly. Thanks! |

| Thanks Steve. Picked it up this past weekend and that thing is awesome! Guy at the place where I picked it up was actually able to help me hook it up right there for the weekend. We just put in and on/of switch for the main motor and for the kicker. I think I may change that to the antisiphon valve because I know one of these times I won't remember to switch back to the main engine and I don't want to cause any problems. |
