Location: Washington, PA | I'm preparing to order my first NEW boat. Looking at an 18ft. tuffy rampage, 140 4 stroke Suzuki, with a 15hp kicker. My question is, other than a trolling motor, locators, panther lift, batteries, on board charger, what am I forgetting that I need to factor in to the price of the boat? |

Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | If you're going to have your dealer rig this boat completely...look into onboard chargers, maybe a shallow water package for the trailer as well as guide ons. |

Lighting in storage areas, and around peremeter of boat
CD-FM radio for tunes
Marine Radio
Electronics, are you putting GPS in boat?
Graphs, fiberglass boat, if mounting thru hull transducer, might want separate temp gauge

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | Always order a spare tire for the trailer, will make your life much easier at some point.
Any interior lighting you may want that is not stock.
I very much suggest a compass that lights with your running lights.

Location: Greenfield, WI | Other items for your consideration:
-radial tires in lieu of bias tires sometimes provided with the trailer package. My last trailer moved all over the highway behind my truck. Once we put radials on the trailer it doesn't move off line!
-fenders (bumpers) for protecting the boat in tieing up to docks, seawalls, or other boats, each with 5'-6' of yachting line.
-a seperate set of grabers for tieing the fenders seperately from the lines that tie the boat off.
-yachting line of 3/8" diameter or larger for tieing the boat off. I use 4 sets at 20' long with a quality snap at one end of each line. Yauchting line is preferable to nylon because it compresses to hold tight in the grabers, and deals with water quite well. I replace the line every 4 or 5 years, as it starts to get stiff..
-a 100' tow line, which I stow in a heavy duty plastic bag to keep moisture off of it.
-a fire extinguisher
-a wind sock sized appropriate for your boat
-locks for the trailor hitch, trailor tongue, and outboard motor if it is small enough to be carried off.
-request (mandate) that all bolts, lock washers, and nuts used in rigging your boat are stainless steel, so that you aren't fighting rust in the future.

| In the original post, you pretty much have it all. About the only thing I would add to your list would be the spare tire and a trailer mounted tire carrier. Usually a little better deal if they are part of the package rather than paid for separately.
As for fire extinguisher, I believe that will come with your rig since a rig like that will have an inboard tank. A boat cover is a decent investment, but I'd shop around for that separately. Different types of material, styles, attatchement systems etc all factor into the situation.
Seems that some of the posts got a little off topic and started listing things you need, but are not something that needs to be included from the dealer.
