Muskie Fishing -> Fishing Reports and Destinations -> Lake of the Woods Report

I fished with Doug Johnson yesterday we moved lots of fish with no takers. We pitched our 10" Jakes on the ice and the muskies would just swim under the ice without eating the bait.. go figure.

Water temps are 39 and the ice is 32.

I also had a hard time getting the boat on plane on the hard water. The prop just would not dig into the 3ft of ice very easy.[]

Hey Doug...Did you see any fish today?

Jason:

As a matter of fact I did, getting a few stripers every day, nothing big so far, but they can really pull. It's too bad that Lake Cumberland doesn't have muskies, lots of stuff for them to eat, and I'll bet they would be big and fat. It's fun to sit in a boat waiting for something to pull on the line!

Getting ready to walk out the door right now.

Doug Johnson
