| First off do different type of leaders require different type snaps and swivels?
If no, what type of snap, swivel or clip do I need for the following Lures. I plan on making leaders, of what material I dont know yet. ( heavy flouro, heavy steel leaders, wire leaders)
1. Large Crankbaits 10-15 feet depth
2. Bucktails
3. Hawg Wobblers
4.Swimbaits
5. Jerkbaits
Thanks

Location: West Bend, WI | I use bucher rings on all my baits.I mostly use 124# steel leaders that I twist myself.I tye my line to one end and attach the other end to the ring.IMHO this is the strongest setup and the cheapest. |

| Exactly what plitzzz said.
Couple exceptions 1) I use the 174 pound straight wire, 2) occassionally I will make up some leaders with the Stringease Locking Snaps (For a snap, they are excellent) 3) when I make up bucktail leaders, I spend the little extra and get the ball bearing swivels.

| Has anyone used a fluorocarbon leader tied directly to synthetic line (no swivel)? Obviously, this would not be a setup for spinner/bucktail baits. Thanks
